Unbelievable. When we asked for “boots on the ground” you answered with a strength that overtook us – and one entire city block. Money from today’s fundraiser will go to the DNC.

I’ll have video up shortly; Jim Hoft has a report, DSM has a report from this morning’s event; STLcyclist has some great photos like this one:

Caroline Mueller also has some great shots:

Kenneth Gladney's run-in with SEIU this time around was a lot different. He stood on the pro-REAL reform side.

Jay Stewart (@jaysunright) and Stephanie Rubach (@stlurbanspice).

I’ve photos on Twitpic:

A peaceful event, though cameras did capture the four different incidents where Obama supporters tried to pick fights with real reform supporters, even leaving their designated protest area. Adam Sharp got video of one fauxcaure supporter who ran through the tea party crowd, reportedly yelled obscenities in women’s faces and shoved people, and argued with a veteran; he was eventually removed from the area by the STLPD who did a phenomenal job at maintaining peace at the event.

If congress passes this legislation then congress no longer represents the American people and will have committed an act of tyranny against the republic.

About 2,500 Tea Party Patriots assembled across from the Grand Renaissance Hotel tonight in St. Louis to Greet the President in Protest over his Health care Legislation.

There were also about 400-700 Supporters of the President from numerous groups ranging from HCAN, JWJ, Repower America and the President's group Organizing for America.

At one time during the evening, the two groups floated into the street toward each other forcing the police to send the groups back to their respective street corners.

Through the evening there were numerous chanting matches between the two groups with the Tea Party corner winning everyone.

Eventually the Tea Party group moved to the other corner of their designated block to get closer to where the President would be leaving the event. This left the Leftest Groups with no one to play with and essentially nullified their effectiveness. This spawned the nights only violence when a supporter of the President's Health Care Plan forced his way into the Tea Party crowd and pushed a female Tea Party Protester. The Police hauled the man off before any more trouble could ensue. The incident was caught on camera by Tea Party Blogger Adam Sharp. Once Adam has posted his video of the incident I will post it here.

I left the event around 7:30 P.M. after almost all of the Leftest groups had left. But there were still about 500 Tea Party Patriots on Scene to give the President a proper going away Present.

The memory that the last thing he sees leaving Down town St. Louis will be a group of people waving Big Yellow Flag with the Words...

Don't Tread On ME.

OVER 2,000 TURNED OUT TONIGHT IN ST. LOUIS TO PROTEST BARACK OBAMA!
…….But, top Democrats Scattered!

WE WERE FIRED UP!

Bill Hennessy gave a great speech at the rally.

It was a huge turnout tonight in St. Louis. 2,000 to 2,500 turned out in St. Louis tonight to protest Obamacare.

UH OH: Instapundit reported: Some Democrats shun Obama event in St. Louis. “The Show Me State briefly became the No Show State on Wednesday as some prominent Missouri Democrats decided they’d rather be somewhere else when President Obama came to St. Louis to push his massive health care overhaul plan.” Probably just scared of the St. Louis Tea Party juggernaut.

People drove from as far away as Quincy, Illinois to make the rally. (We didn’t bus anyone in.)

There were a couple of hundred astroturfed HCAN and Obama supporters who showed up but they split early.

Kenneth Gladney came out tonight to join the protesters. That’s Stephanie Rubach in the background.

These Purple People Beaters were really just powder puffs.

It was loud and it was awesome! What a great turnout to let Barack Obama and Claire McCaskill know that we don’t want their socialism!

Protest Babes…

Thanks to StL Cyclist for a couple of these shots.

The St. Louis crowd came out in force. Bill Hennessy, Dana Loesch, Gina and John Loudon, Adam Sharp, Patch, Jon Burns, Jay Stewart, Robert B., 24th State, Spike, Stephanie Rubach, Ed, Brenda… It was a great event. It’s just too bad the top democrats decided to stay away. We wanted to greet them, too.

Sharp Elbows has more photos and video of a revolting leftist trying to start trouble at the protest.

Dana Loesch posted some great photos.

The White House lashed out at Chief Justice Roberts today afters the top justice told a crowd yesterday that Barack Obama’s unprecedented attack on the court at the State of the Union Address was “very troubling.”
HuffPo reported:

The White House fired back at Justice John Roberts Tuesday night, after the Supreme Court Chief told a crowd that he found it “very troubling” that President Barack Obama would criticize the court during his State of the Union address.

In a statement sent to reporters, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said that the only troubling thing was the 5-4 ruling by the court, which said that corporations could spend unlimited amounts of money advocating on behalf of candidates in elections. Roberts leads the court.

“What is troubling is that this decision opened the floodgates for corporations and special interests to pour money into elections – drowning out the voices of average Americans,” Gibbs said. “The President has long been committed to reducing the undue influence of special interests and their lobbyists over government. That is why he spoke out to condemn the decision and is working with Congress on a legislative response.”

The push back against the Supreme Court header from the White House seems almost unprecedented in its directness, though White House officials claim previous administrations expressed equally public criticisms of the court. Undoubtedly, it’s bound to spur another round of debates over what constitutes proper decorum between the two branches.

Once again… Barack Obama attacked the Supreme Court during his State of the Union Address this year:

Justice Alito disagreed.

For the record… When Obama attacked the Supreme Court at his hyper-partisan State of the Union address he relied on an old Jim Crow law to make his point.
Via Rhymes With Right:

Yeah, that is right. Barack Obama stood before the people of the United States and praised legislation introduced by a fellow Democrat who preceded him in the US Senate, one of the most vile enemies of African-Americans to ever serve in the United States Senate, a despicable man who owed his election to public office to his participation in an armed assault upon a body of black soldiers during Reconstruction and the lynching of several of these soldiers, and a dangerous demagogue who was censured for his physical assault of another Senator on the floor of the US Senate and barred from the White House over the incident.

Figures.
Law Professor Glenn Reynolds asks: IS IT SMART FOR THE WHITE HOUSE to be in a pissing match with the Chief Justice?
